Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and a little something to think about - the Law of Attraction

First of let me say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone.  And although being a Russian and living in Latvia, this is not considered a holiday I do know that in the USA - this day is very special.  All the traditions when family gets together around a big table with all the grandchildren, great grandchildren, children, parents, etc and make a beautiful Turkey stuffed with prunes if I know correctly.
Well enough about that, this post is not really about the turkey.  Its about a video I came across today and could not resist the idea with sharing it.  Do you believe in the Laws of attraction? If you put your mind to it and no matter how many times you fail eventually you will get what you wanted? Think about it!
    Click the video below...

    Happy Holidays everyone!

My Response to Gideon Shalwick Video Blogging Course

This post has been lying around for over a month now and I think its about time to have it up for all to read.  I would like to just post my response to Gideons competition that took place sometime back regarding video blogging.

After listing to the video I decided to plot down a  number of pointers that relate to me on why I have not yet implemented video blogging on my blog.  Do any of the points below relate to you?

    - the main issue why I have not gone further with video blogging is because I feel that I do not look good on camera. ( its hilarious but every time I record a video I go through the video and find things that I don't like – like the way my hair falls, the facial expression, etc)  And that is really a big issue for me as I just don’t want to share the videos with people as I feel that people would not watch them.  But now I realized that people are visiting my blog to hear what I have to share with them and not judge weather I have a big nose or not.

    - I love the idea or recording a video in the park like Fran shares in her interview.  I always think of it this way – would I like/be interested to see my own video? If I do ( and I’m very critical to myself) then I do not see a reason why others would not be interested. And the idea of filming in the park with beautiful nature around – I think I will try this idea for my new blog.
    • The solution for this problem of mine Gideon actually gave in his previous videos on his blog at gideonshalwick .  Thank you for your tips on how to feel comfortable in front of a camera. I guess it takes time and with practice you just become better! The tip on jotting down the questions you are going to answer is very good as I always tend to loose direction when talking on camera and start jabbering in all directions. And having the focus of the picture on your fridge – genius idea! ( also if you use that method I think if you have a picture of a friend up then it would be easier for you to talk to them when you record cause you can relate and maybe change you intonation or expressions as if you were actually talking to a friend)
    - Another issue I realize I have is that the niche that I’m in or trying to be a part of is very competitive.  The truth is I have never really had any passions like collecting things or being crazy on diets/etc.  The only thing I really loved I think was athletics but that was back in school.  In the last couple of years blogging has become my passion and the thing is its not blogging about a specific product or hobby its about blogging itself. Helping people set up a blog, getting traffic, etc.  I love researching on the topics of SEO, social media, marketing and anything to do with blogging.

    - Also during the video Fran shared a thing about selling affiliate products through her YouTube channel with a an affiliate link below the video.  And although she mentioned that people would click anyways cause most have no clue that's its an affiliate link, Just wanted to make a quick comment on that – I would use something like bit.ly to shorten the link and then people would not have to wonder when why click cause when you shorten the link you can white anything in the title. Just a quick comment on that from me.

    - About capturing your Mac screen ( in my case I use a Mac) – as I’m not a professional (yet ☺) in creating video posts I use this free program from apple.com called screenium. Well lets put it in other words – it does what its supposed to do and is very easy to use.

I think I should stop now.  Sorry if this comment is a bit too long! Also Gideon you have been such a great motivation for me to proceed with the video blogging.  I have registered a domain a few months back which is going to be a blog on blogging solutions and now am so eager to actually get into it.  The biggest mistake with this blog so far is not having it hosted on my own domain but having it on Blogger which I just want to comment is real bad for your blogging career as it is something that you don't own and can get closed down anytime and there is pretty much nothing that you can do. So important TIP: Buy your own domain – OWN YOUR BUSINESS!

Let me hear your opinion - are these issues also a problem you might have faced with video blogging?

Where Does Your Inspiration Come From?

Its been a while since I last posted, honestly haven't been inspired to write a good post lately. So I decided to dedicate a quick post to a very important topic I think.
What inspires you to do what you do?
Without inspiration I don't think a person would be able to come up with good content - and in this case content can relate to either a blog, website or anything in your daily life.

As for me - honestly I usually get my inspiration while I'm either walking around, browsing, thinking, etc.
I could be walking in a middle of a street and then see something that I feel relates to me and I feel I just need to do something.

Also I have this awesome widget on my HTC Hero - its an Android application and its called Success Quotes. For example today's quote was:
Obviously, there is little you can learn from doing nothing. - Zig Ziglar
Please share your quotes of inspiration or people who inspire you in your comments below!

Using Google Wonder Wheel to Find More KeyWords

Today I would like to spend a minute talking about keywords! The real importance of picking the right keywords.

In my example below I will start with 2 basic keywords - "credit card".  If you try to master and rank for these two specific words first in Google - trust me that will probably never happen as the big shots such as banks, financial institutions, etc have already taken up that niche.  So what is it that you and I can do to try to get a share of this huge pool of money going around? First off you have to go deeper!
For example people who have a credit card might be searching for a card that they can pay less interest on, there you go. You have your main keywords to work with -  "low interest credit card".

After entering "low interest credit card" into a Google search box and selecting "Wonder Wheel" from the left-hand menu, the standard view changes to display your keyword in the center of an orb that's surrounded by a few different related terms.

NOTE: You may have to click the "More search tools" link first before you can see the "Wonder wheel" option.
After you select the Wonder wheel view, the keyword you searched in Google will look like this...

As you can see, the Wonder wheel lets you dig deeper into your keywords to find others that Google believes are related to it.
While my initial keyword research from the last step already uncovered the keyword "0% interest credit card", looking at the Wonder wheel helps me understand that Google thinks the names of credit companies are closely related to this search term.
Given that information... I would take those keywords and use them as modifiers to pretty much all of the keywords I find.
Here's what I mean when I say that...

Instead of only having "0% interest credit card" or "0% apr credit card" as keywords on my list, I'll add the credit card company names before each phrase to expand my list further.
Using this kind of logic, I can easily turn 2 keywords into 10:
    • discover card 0% interest credit card
    • American express 0% interest credit card
    • capital one 0% interest credit card
    • Citibank 0% interest credit card
    • bank of America 0% interest credit card
    • discover card 0% apr credit card
    • American express 0% apr credit card
    • capital one 0% apr credit card
    • Citibank 0% apr credit card
    • bank of America 0% apr credit card

No matter which niche I want to target, there should always be opportunities to expand my keyword list using simple modifiers - fast, quick, best, quality, city names, state names, etc.
If I'm having a hard time coming up with modifiers I can use to expand my keyword list, I'll spy on the competition to see what they're doing.

Although there are quite a few different options available (SEMRush, SpyFu, KeywordSpy) when it comes to spying on the keywords your competitors are using, they limit the number of results you can see unless you pay for the service.

Since you need to pay a monthly subscription to see the full list of keywords, you can use the Google Search-based Keyword Tool instead which is FREE.

Although the number of results will still be limited as they are for those with free accounts at the keyword spy services listed above, you should be able to get what you need from Google.

This is pretty much it, have a wonderful weekend everyone and see you back next week!

Find that Passion in you and Make it Happen!

Millionaire at the age of 14?  Today at the age of 24 Dr. Farah Gray ... is named as one of the most influential black men in America!

I just want to quickly quote the following, I feel are very strong statements.

"Create a healthy fear, of not doing what we want to do"
"Amazing what you can accomplish when you don't know what you can't do yet"

"You imagination is more powerful than your knowledge of the situation"  Einstein

Now ask yourself these 3 questions:
    1. What comes easy to you, but harder to others?
    2. What would you do and want to do for years and years to come and never have to get paid for it?
    3. How can you be of service? How can you give back?
If you can answer all three questions easily, then all I can say is congratulations.  You are a step closer to realizing what your passion is and what you would enjoy doing all your life.

"When you think you can't do it and make yourself, that's when you get all the growth.   Everything else was getting you ready"    Tony Robbins

A little to think about and get you inspired.  You don't have to look at successful people and just say, oh he is lucky, he is just one in a million to that managed to do it.  You too can be a part of that, be the ONE people would be saying that about! To our Success!

"Lead a life of your own design, on your own terms—not one that others, or the environment have scripted for you"    Anthony Robbins

Teen Millionaires - How Did They Do It?

Where Do You Get Your Inspiration?

This video features one of the most inspiring young entrepreneurs of mine.  Can you imagine this Cameron Johnson is only 25 and is making a 7 figure income a year and runs 12 businesses!

By the age of 25 he managed to publish his own book, called "You Call the Shots", be a CEO to a Japanese company at the age of 15 and have Donald Trump himself write a testimonial for his book.

Another person featured in this video is Ashley Qualls - By the age of 20 she is the CEO of a million dollar website called Whateverlife.com

What makes Ashley stand out is that she started with just 8 bucks that she invested into a Dot Com back when she was 14 and persuaded her passion in creating designs for MySpace pages... amazing how ones passion can go such a long way!

Its people like these that inspire young entrepreneurs like ourselves and are a bright spot in our future!

What do you think, who is your Inspiration?

Increase You Mailing List, Blog Subscribers with PopUp Domination from Michael Dunlop

    What is Popup Domination?

Today I would like to bring to you the most amazing product that I have come across recently.
Popup Domination is a premium WordPress plugin that allows you to create some of the best looking light box popups that are proven to increase opt-in email list conversion on your blogs.  So how does one look like, well look no further - scroll to the picture below.  Its amazing cause you can see the whole website in the background and have this tiny pop up which you can close anytime.  As you can see, the light box plugins are extremely eye catching and look nothing like the spammy popups that people find annoying.

You Are Not Going To Annoy Your Regular Readers!

If you are worried about frustrating your regular readers by having your new  popup displaying each time they visit – don’t stress. Michael thought this one through, and you can set the amount of days before your light box popup shows to that same reader again. It is automatically set at 7 days, but you can change this to whatever you prefer.

But How Hard Is It To Set Up?

Popup Domination installs just like any other WordPress plugin – easily.  Michael claims that you will have your light box popup set up and running on your blog in 2 minutes.  Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to try it out on this particular blog as it is hosted on Blogger ( which should be changing quite soon as working on a new project), but the main thing is that it is incredibly simple to set up your popup!
There is no coding involved at all, to create your popup you paste the code that your autoresponder (I use Aweber) gives you in a text box, choose the popup style and colours that you want and then fill in the text boxes with the text and bullet points that want to use. Oh, and if you choose the one that includes an image, then you just have to upload the image from your computer (and it will automatically be re-sized for you!).
    This is incredibly beginner friendly!

    You Need This Plugin!

I don’t usually give such raving reviews, but honestly you really do need this, Popup Domination will be a game changer for your blogging career!
You may have noticed that all the probloggers are starting to focus on building email lists, and the reason is simply that ‘responsive email lists make money‘ and the bigger you can grow your list the better it will be for you.

    How Much Does It Cost?

This is a premium WordPress plugin and it does have a small price tag attributed to it.
But it is not expensive, at just $37 I personally believe that it is costing you money each day that you DO NOT buy it.
So what I recommend you do, is head over to the Popup Domination website and watch the video that Michael has created which explains a little bit more about how it works, as well as shares his personal experiences with Popup Domination, and if you honestly believe that it will not be of benefit to you, then don’t buy it!
But, if you are serious about making money blogging, and are looking to optimise your list building, then I cannot recommend Popup Domination enough!

Proof - First commission Check from Commission Junction

I wanted to make some changes to my blog and thought that by adding some video it would look nicer.  One of my affiliate programs that I have recently started using has finally payed of and I wanted to post proof that this does work.  As I have been using Clickbank more than Commission Junction (CJ) this is relatively new for me.

I have just recently received my first check from CJ.  The amount is not too big ( honestly speaking its not big at all) but for a start with a new program with not much effort its good.  The check came in for EUR 118.92
It arrived pretty quick considering that it was sent out on the 26 May and arrived in my mailbox in Latvia on the 31st all the way from Canada. So I would say delivery is very quick.
One thing that I did not like was that it has taken quite sometime for them to approve my check as the account was relatively new, so I had to wait around 2 month until they double check that everything I did was legit.  I was told that in the future it should be much quicker.
Enough with the rambling, please see a quick video of my opening the check ( I know make it sound like such an important thing!)  I'm also attaching a picture of it!
Look forward to hear your experience with CJ and weather it was good or not?  Enjoy

Get Web Hosting - Blog Hosting Services

Get Web Hosting  - Blog Hosting Services

Once you have a domain, you’ll need hosting to put all of your website files onto the internet.  These are the hosts I would suggest for new bloggers. I personally suggest the Host Gator as never had any problems with it!

                        Space   Bandwidth  Database   Price
Host Gator           Unlimited      Unlimited               Unlimited           $4.95
    Host Monster        1,500gb        15,000gb                      Yes                $6.95
    GoDaddy                10gb               300gb                        Yes                $4.99
    1 and 1                   1.5gb              20gb                          Yes               $4.95

Register a Domain Name - Buy Your Dot.com

Register a Domain Name - Buy Your Dot.com

I personally use GoDaddy to host this specific blog.  I also use One.com which I'm actually very happy with as well.   The domain is the first thing you need in order to create a website. The great thing about them is that there are so many different options and they are pretty cheap.
Seriously, if you’re spending more than $10 on a new domain, you’re getting ripped off. The bad thing is that if you don’t act fast, someone else might register that perfect domain you’ve been looking to grab. Below are the different registrars I would recommend for buying a domain.

                     .com       .net       .co.uk       .info     .org
    Dotster              $15.95          $15.95          $30.00             $15.95        $15.95
    GoDaddy           $9.99            $2.99            $10.00             $2.99          $8.99
    1&1                   £8.99            £8.99            £2.24               £0.99          £8.99
    IPower               $6.50            $6.50            $8.49               $1.99          $6.50
    UK2                  $17.99           $17.99          $5.99               $15.99       $17.99

About me - How I started My Bits n Pieces

Make Money Online With A Blog
I frequently ask myself and have many friends ask me - how I came to create this blog? Well I hope I will be able to answer that question in this post. I hope I could inspire some of you to start something of your own.

Frankly speaking before this blog I was actually a newbie to all this blogging business. And it took a lot of patience and time to read and learn all the possible materials to be able to actually understand and talk about it freely.

The initial idea behind "My Bits n Pieces" was to have a website where I could share my knowledge with others, and eventually at some point start making money (you have to do what you preach!) :)

Looking back over the last year or so can say that I have come a long way and although I'm not a 6 figure marketer, I think I'm doing quite good.

I think that when you start a blog the main motivation or idea behind it, like with any entrepreneurship should be - to solve a problem someone might have.

So the problem I tried to solve here in my blog was to share my knowledge and have it all one place for newbies who I once myself used to be cause too many friends were asking me how I get traffic, what I do,etc .  It was out of solving this ‘problem’ that "My Bits n Pieces" was born.

The truth is, I know that there are so many bloggers/people who are so excited about setting up a blog, but cannot for whatever reason get over that hurdle that exists when you first start out – of writing content, researching posts, building relationships etc (The GIVING bit) with very little in the way of income coming back in return.  Its so important so "GIVE" something to society before you start "GETTING" something back.

So often I visit a Blog and see that in the first month of operation there are plenty of posts but come the second or third month the posts have become less frequent.

I wish I could say Blogging is an easy way to make money – but I can’t. I can however say it is an excellent way to make money and frankly it does eventually become quite easy, but not until you have first gave of yourself and created something of value that other people will follow.

Wanted to leave you all with a quote - or I should say something that could motivate to go forward and keep trying.

The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake -
you can't learn anything from being perfect

I hope you enjoy My Story and I hope it Inspires you.

    To all our Successes
    Helen

Top 5 Reasons - Why List Building is so Important for Bloggers

I have come to realize that by not starting building a list over a year ago when I initially started this blog, I now literally have to start from scratch! The truth is I'm just now in the process of implementing and building a list for this blog.
You will probably ask, so whatÅ¡ so important in this list.  Honestly speaking - your list is your income. Especially if you are focusing on affiliate marketing products.
So here is my list on why creating a subscribers list is so important:
    • You are building your database of subscribers, therefore people who feel that you have authority in what you write on your blog and who are interested to read more about what you have to say
    • Number of opt-ins is very important - you might have a hundred subscribers a day - but only 2-3 opt in.  You need to get your conversions higher.
    • Inexpensive marketing - imagine having direct access to people, especially people who are directly interested in what you have to say since they subscribed to your blog
    • Providing Value - frankly put - if your blog does not provide value the reader will not stick.  Make sure you offer a good product when people are signing up to your mailing list. And make sure that its not a one time thing, maybe if its an e-book make it into an e-course, then the people will not want to unsubscribe straight after they get a free product from you.
    • Make sure your sign up form is visible and is above the fold.  Make is accessible.
I guess these are just some pointers which I wanted to point out.  So make sure, as soon as you start a blog, even if you just have one reader - make sure that "one" reader has a chance to convert into a subscriber and maybe later into a sales lead! It all goes in circles!

Another important point is what you use to create this list.  As I'm in  the process of finally starting my own list for this blog I have done quite a thorough research on all possible programs available for creating a subscriber list.  Although unfortunately none of them are for free, I decided to stick to the Aweber option.

They have a super $1 first month offer with a right to unsubscribe within 30 days.  After that one month is $19 a month.  But I personally think that this little investment that I'm making this month will pay well of in the coming years.  They have so many option such as creating the opt in page, all possible criterias to creating your list, designs,etc.. On this positive note I will end this post... Look out for my subscriber page! :)

Michael Dunlop - young internet entrepreneur making a six figure income a year

You know there are times when you are browsing the net and you just stubble upon something so valuable that you just have to share with everyone.
Well one of these moments happened to me quite sometime back and now I would like to take a moment to talk a little about a guy names Michael Dunlop who is a young internet entrepreneur and honestly speaking one of my great inspirations.  He is running a blog/website called Income Diary, which has recently been ranked as Alexa top 20,000.  Might sound like a huge number, but trust me in Alexa ranking that's a pretty awesome position.
To put it short how can a guy who is under 25 and making a 6 figure income through his blog not be an inspiration? :)

Dude I hate my job by Adam Howrwitz

Many people don't know that it's possible to make a living online, or
at least a good extra income. Most think you have to have to go to
college and have a great job to make a lot of money these days. Well if
you think that way, I'm about to really surprise you, and show you
exactly how you can make a lot of money online starting now!

Don't worry it's not a scam, pyramid scheme, or any of that fluff. I
know, when I first heard about making money online that was the first
thing that came to my head too. But when I started collecting checks
every month, my whole theory changed! So enough of all that, I'm
actually going to show you how to start making money online now! What I
want you to do first is go to a website called ClickBank and sign up
(it's free). What they do is manage a bunch of different products that
you can promote for a commission. All you need to do is send traffic
(people) to that product page, and if they buy, you make your
commission. The correct term for it is, becoming an affiliate. Here's a
quick example to clear your up your confusion. Lets say one of the
products is selling for $100 and you get a 50% commission. Every time
you make a sale, you'll obviously make $50. So if you get 10 people to
buy it, you'll get a check for $500! See what I mean, it's possible to
    do and extremely easy!

Once you've signed up in ClickBank, the next important thing to know is
obviously picking a good product to promote. Now this is where a bunch
of affiliates fail to be successful online. But right now I'm going to
tell you a quick tip that helped me become extremely successful, very
quickly. Under each product in the "Marketplace" of ClickBank, there's
something called "grav", what it means is Gravity. What that tells you
is if the product is selling well. You always want to pick a product
that is over 50 gravity. If the product isn't over that, don't go for
it! Once you know that, you'll be able to successfully sell products on
ClickBank. The reason you want the Gravity to be high is because that
tells you that other affiliates are successfully selling it. Let me
tell you a quick secret that most people don't know about Gravity. The
number of Gravity actually means how many affiliates that product has!
For example, if the gravity is 75, that means 75 different affiliates
are selling the product at that time... Easy enough right?
So now that you have that down, go make some money online! It's
seriously not as hard as most people think, especially when you have
the right people teaching you. That's how I became successful online,
just happened to be around the right teachers at the right time! If you
want to find out more about how you can become successful online
through affiliate marketing, and also find out WHERE to promote, check
out my free 7-day Bootcamp! I actually explain to you in detail how I
did it, and how you can "actually" use the exact steps I did. It's
worth it, and it's free, how could you say no! Check it out here:

    How to retweet correctly

Ultimate Guide to Retweet for Twitter Users

Retweet is a perfect example of Word of Mouth advertising on the web. It is so explosive that it can be considered as the new linkbacks except more explosive. Retweets shows how high your influence is on twitter because the only reason why someone else would even read your tweets is because they appreciate the content that you are putting on the web.

The art and sciences of “retweeting” is best described as taking someone else’s twitter message, and reposting it on twitter again. In the course of doing so, you mention the original poster, or your source, and the link which is often associated with it.

In this post, I will share how to properly retweet because not only beginners don’t know how to retweet, but alot of users who are on twitter for a good while often don’t use the right technique of retweets. I will also share the advantages of retweets for webmasters and bloggers. Lastly, I will share the tools that you can use to track your tweets.

    How to Properly Retweet?

There are multiple ways of retweeting. You can use different labels to post retweets. The common ones that you will see mostly used are RT: or Reading: which are both fine.
Next thing you need to make sure that you credit the original source, or the source that you got the resource from. You can do so by saying @originalposter, so if you are retweeting my tweets, you should say @alen4ik2003 in that tweet.
Critics might say that by adding someone else as your credit, you are losing your followers to them, no you are not. You are just helping them build connection also. Giving credit is a good thing that is why you are required to do so in books, papers and other scholarly information as well. By mentioning someone else’s argument or point, you are only strengthening your credibility.

So there are more than one way of retweeting, you can’t get it wrong. But people still do. So make sure you analyze each tweet carefully before you RT because not only will it be worthless to your users, but to the original poster as well sometimes.
Let’s take the scenario if one of your friends Direct Message you, asking to Retweet an URL. Direct Message reads:
Hey, I am promoting this article can you please RT – example...www....
Now what you should do is first check out this post to see if you like it, and then don’t just RT the direct message. Take some time writing the headline, or just taking the article’s headline and using that in your RT.

I have seen users not even spending enough time in retweets. They will just post:
I am promoting this article can you please RT – www.example.com (@alen4ik2003)
Which not only makes the original poster look bad, but it hurts your own reputation even more because you didn’t take enough time to read the article before you suggest it to others. Which means that for all you can be sharing a virus site and pissing off your readers.

Only Retweet Articles that You Find Interesting

Retweeting is not just about sharing the love. You must find the article interesting in order for you to RT. Don’t ever feel obligated to Retweet because then you are jeopardizing the quality of your tweets and losing your loyal followers. First read the article, and then share it if you think it is interesting. Also consider, if the article is related to your followers as well. If it is something that will help them, or if it is something that they will enjoy.

Retweets help build Relationships with other users

Retweeting actually help you build relationships with others and the original poster as well. I have noticed whenever I retweet something, I usually get more followers. Because someone usually retweet that url with me as their source and it spreads. So people see that I am sharing interesting content, and they follow me. The original poster is also happy because I retweeted his post, and I am someone who will help him promote his site in the future also if he keeps writing these interesting articles. It is just a good act which you should do before asking others to retweet something for you.  By retweeting you increase your chances of being retweeted because most users return your favor, only if it is interesting though.

Retweeting increases other’s trust in you

The reason why I have said above to post interesting content which is relevant to your users is because it also put your reputation on line when you retweet something. If you retweet something, you are asking your users to check it out. When they check it out and it is superb and relevant to them, they will begin to trust you. They will check out everything that you post because they like the stuff you post, and they trust you. On the other hand, if you retweet something bad which is completely irrelevant, then you will often lose followers after such sort of tweets.

Retweets are Explosive form of Word of Mouth Advertising for FREE!

All you have to do is make your article interesting, and this is the best form of viral marketing you can get for yourself. Retweets are natural linking so it can be considered more like what google would like to see in text linking. People link to what they find interesting. So if I share something interesting, then people will retweet it without me asking for retweets. Although it does give you a boost if you ask. I will say from my experience in receiving traffic from twitter, it is better than any text link that you will see. Twitter effect is much like a Digg effect if you get the right people to tweet.  Twitter is Viral and it can really help webmasters if you want to get tons of traffic to your website.
Not just the new posts, people who are coming from twitter are now tweeting my older posts from my archives which is also recieving good traffic. I have tweeted some of my older posts to get more exposure. I am getting textlinks also from bloggers who are now seeing my content. Twitter has just put me at a new level. And it is all the power of Retweets.

    Tools to Track your Retweets

    1) Retweet Radar – This tool collects ideas most tweeted on twitter in the form of tag cloud where you will see more tweeted ideas bigger. It claims to show you the trend of topics and ideas on twitter.
    2) Retweetrank – Retweet rank is a representative of the number of times a user have been retweeted by others recently on twitter. It ranks the users based on the retweet amounts and gives you a percentile rating.
    3) Retweetist – This service highlights the most tweeted links on twitter.
    4) Tweetmeme – Similarly this service lists all the popular links that are being retweeted on twitter. You can track your own links here by just searching for the url. You can also incorporate their plugin on your website and see the retweet count of a specific article.
All to all I am saying that you need to know how to retweet if you want to get anywhere in twitter. This will help you build your own brand and trust among your followers, it will help you build good relationships with others such as original posters, and your friends who you retweeted. It will also help you increase your influence if you do it correctly. It will get you insane amount of traffic if your article is interesting and relevant to your audience.

Since you have learn’t how to properly retweet through this article, let me see you retweet this article properly. I am @alen4ik2003 (original poster) follow me on twitter.

Drop Down to earth simple SEO tips

SEO is always a controversial subject for website owners and there is a significant divide in terms of what is perceived to be the best method of achieving optimal results. A major problem is that the usage and effectiveness of SEO has been somewhat diluted by grossly exaggerated claims made by fraudulent service providers which means that many website owners foolishly succumb to the boastful claim:

“we can make your website ranked as #1 for Google”

Or any other such variation of this theme.
The search engines adopt a zero tolerance policy when it comes to SEO and the methods used, and there has been a significant crackdown on the so called “blackhat” SEO methods. These include the likes of filling a web page with nothing but keywords and keyphrases, and very little in the way of genuine content. A slight variation on this keyword stuffing is whereby the website owner will have additional keywords included in their website...but have the text displaying the keywords in white and displayed on the white background.
Cloaking is also majorly frowned upon and is liable to act as a major red flag to any of the search engine automated programs otherwise known as “bots.” Cloaking in the context of SEO refers to the process whereby a website that is presented to an internet user differs from the website that is reported to the bots. Even if it is achieved by accident, it is punished harshly.
One of the worst black hat SEO methods is the so called “link farming” and this refers to the process whereby a group of websites all feature a hyperlink to every single other website within that little group. I say that this is the worst purely because of the extremely fine line that the website owner will invariably find that they need to deftly walk on in order to ensure that they do not get penalized by the search engines.
Blackhat SEO tricks are and can be tempting because they do work....at least, until you get caught. However, the problem with them is that whilst they will provide you with a temporary and extremely short lived boost in your fortunes, the penalties incurred for them are severe indeed. Website owners who routinely engage in such practices will find that their website will have its rank significantly reduced, and in worst case scenarios maybe pulled off the internet permanently.

How social networking websites can help you with SEO

Social networking websites have became extremely popular and are now relied upon by people from all walks of life in order to communicate and keep in touch with friends and family. It would seem that every man and his dog has a social networking account on at least one of the sites in question, and the numbers are increasing on a daily basis. Current estimates predict that roughly 10,000 people each day sign up for Facebook. As can be hopefully seen then, there is a great deal of potential for reaching out to spread the word about your website.

Many website owners are left at a total loss as to how a social networking site can actually be used most effectively to market and promote their services and products. First and foremost, it is important that the business /website owner actually appreciates not only the nature of their business, but the types of people to whom they cater for and will be likely to attract. These two issues must be considered because they will have a major impact on whether or not a social networking site can indeed help raise the profile for the website.

    2)     What are the methods in which a social networking site can raise awareness about the site.
If you happen to own an online pharmacy that sells arthritis medication then a social networking site is less likely to be of benefit to you because there are simply not that many arthritis sufferers on such sites, (as arthritis is predominately an older person’s disease.) Equally, if you operate a funeral director’s then you may find a decidedly lacklustre response if you then try and get consumer’s “hyped” up about your business on these sites!

Why not hold a competition of some sort on the social networking website? Have a sweepstake or competition of some description with the crucial part of the puzzle being that every participant must actually challenge their friends and acquaintances to increase their chances of success. This will help create a buzz about your competition and if there is some sort of “battle of skill” involved (such as a quiz, or game of chess to name but a couple of ideas) then this will bring out the competitiveness of people forcing them to pit their wits against one another. As they invite/challenge one another, this will also serve as a talking point for them.

    How to choose effective keywords

Given that SEO is the driving force of raising the awareness and prestige for any website, it is vital that the aspiring website owner actually appreciates how to maximise their SEO enterprises. Without a doubt, the actual choice of SEO keywords will have a major impact on the ultimate success of your SEO campaign and will directly influence the amount of relevant traffic you attract for your site.
There is a common misconception that the SEO keywords associated with a particular niche which happen to be more expensive, must therefore be more desirable and lucrative. That maybe true, however....that does not mean that they will provide you with a maximum return on your investment, or optimal results in the long term.
The problem with the higher tier keywords is that by virtue of their high cost, this means that the website owner will have to contend with paying more money for their usage both for the initial usage of the words as well as their continued use.  If you have a limited budget you will probably find that you end up burning through your budget well before you are actually able to make any sort of solid head way when it comes to carving a head start over the competition.
There are a number of different keyword optimization tools available, some which are free to download and use with no further recourse, and others which have a fee attached to them.
Make sure that your choice of keyword actually has a resonance with the people who will be most likely to use your website. If you operate a website that caters for medical supplies for dogs, then you may get better results substituting the word “dog” for “canine” (this is because canine is the more academic and technical usage of the word.)
Never underestimate or overlook the value and significance of spelling typos and mistakes! When people are searching for something on the internet, the chances are that they are doing so whilst under some degree of pressure with time being a constraint that they have to keep a firm eye on. Some words are also very easy to misspell because they are spelt differently from how they happen to be pronounced. By including the most common variations of spelling mistakes for a particular keyword or phrase, you will also be able to scoop up another large portion of the available traffic.

How to increase your web traffic using twitter

If you are a website owner then you will no doubt have some idea as to the significant role that an effective SEO campaign can have for raising awareness about your website and increasing consumer loyalty as well. SEO is and can be extremely expensive and whilst it can significantly bolster the fortunes and success of your website, for the newly established website owner the initial expenses associated with it can be steep, too steep for them to manage comfortably.
Thankfully, there is an effective way to publicise your website, attract additional traffic and satisfy all of your SEO requirements and as if this was not helpful enough, it allows the website owner to achieve all this at a fraction of the cost. I am speaking of social networking websites such as Twitter, Myspace, Bebo and Facebook. Yes, you read correctly: those totally free to join websites are an excellent way to actually achieve good SEO.
First and foremost, with any social networking website, you need to ensure that you actually provide useful content and material to the fellow members in order to get people interested in your profile and by extension, your website.  Twitter is in effect, a “micro-blog” allowing Twitter account holders to communicate with their followers on a more informal, personal basis.
Once you have built up a respectable follower base then you can start informing people of any promotional news relevant for your business. If you have a special offer campaign in the midst, are offering a discount for a limited time only or have some great new products hot off the press then Twitter will allow you to inform your fans/followers of such updates without pressuring them. There is nothing more offputting than having to try and resist the pushy sales pitch of an overly eager salesperson. Twitter then, is the ideal platform for the greatly trumpeted “soft sales” skills.
Tweeter can also be used to utilise an affiliate marketing campaign, whereby Twitter members who have accounts will receive a small commission for every person that they are able to refer to your website. All they need to do is include a link in their profile, and include a short description of what your website actually provides. This is beneficial for the website owner because it is inexpensive and provides a much more generous ROI (return on investment).

How to use article directories for SEO purposes

SEO is a costly affair to implement and whilst it is integral to the ultimate success of a website, the initial expense associated with it plus the difficulty in trying to gauge the ROI (return on investment) it provides the website owner alienates many website owners at the first instance.

One variation of SEO which has grown increasingly popular in recent times has been the usage of article writing and submission in order to raise the SEO profile of a website and many site owners have reported very positive results with this approach. The manner in which it functions is extremely straightforward indeed:  the website owner writes articles and useful content, which are then submitted to article submission directories.
From there, if a person wishes to use that article for their own purposes, perhaps as filler content for their own website, then they can do so with the price of usage being that they must include a “backlink” which references the original author. One of the major criticisms made about SEO in general is that it is a very hit and miss process meaning that the cost effectiveness of the SEO marketing campaign is limited in the extreme.
However, the benefit with article directory sites is that your articles will only ever be of interest and use to people who are involved in the niche in which you happen to operate in as well. What this means then is that you will gain access to internet users who will have actual use for your website and services, thereby significantly increasing the ROI of this SEO approach.
Article writing and submission for SEO purposes have a tremendously robust shelf life meaning that because your articles will be passed around thanks to word of mouth, this means that that you will still be drawing some benefit from them months after you initially wrote them.  This stands in sharp contrast to the likes of PPC (pay per click campaigns) where the user will have to contend with having results so long as they keep paying money.
There are a number of article submission sites and one of the most effective of these is ezinearticles. Totally free, with stringent rules ensuring strict quality control measures means that you will never get caught short with this particular SEO strategy.

Making Money Online Through Affiliate Marketing

How many of you actually know what is affiliate marketing? I didn't know about until I came across a number of great opportunities to learn more about it. You will be surprised but many people don't know that you can make a decent income online. And trust me you don't have to have a Masters degree and a high paying job to be successful in an online business.

In the next couple of paragraphs I will try to show and explain some methods through which anyone can make money online. And no this is not a get rich scheme where you don't have to do anything. You will have to spend time and energy to get things going. But it will be a great experience (just as it was for me) because you learn a lot of things along the way.

So what is affiliate marketing. Here is a quick example. There are many sites today which offer products that you can promote for a commission. Here are just a few that I can think of straight away: Commission Junction and ClickBank. They are usually free to sign up and do not take any subscription fees or anything from you. What you have to do with the products that they offer is send traffic for example to your blog, website, internet shop, etc and if the people buy the products that you are promoting then you get commission for it. For example you choose a niche market and decide to promote a product related to health and fitness. So you choose the product and manage to sell it for USD 100. The site offers a 50% commission every time you well this product. So logically from every sale you will be making USD 50. I don't think there is a need to do any further calculations, as the numbers are pretty clear.

Before I go any further it is important that you take action today and start doing some research. Before proceeding it is important to choose your niche market and do a thorough research on the keywords that you will be focusing on. I will be going into more detail on this subject in my coming posts.

Also to read more, this course is a must for all newbies that want to learn the basic steps.

    Start to Form Blog Relationships

Sure, everybody wants their blog to be visited by thousands of unique users every day. Do you think each of these visitors will be interested in what your blog has to say? You guessed it right, of course not. That's why it's essential to remember quality over quantity. You can essentially choose some of your visitors.  It just requires some time given up on your part.

Start off by searching for blogs that share interests and keywords with yours. If you're feeling picky, then a popular blog would be a tad more worth your time. You have a choice now if you want to follow them or not. Some people like to save their follows for only those they find most interesting. After this, find a post that you can comment on. Be friendly, show some interest, and if you're subtle about it, maybe mention your own blog.

This is the magic of blog networks. It's almost like the theory of Nash equilibrium. Instead of all the blogs competing for visitors and in the process losing some, build relationships with your competition so that everybody can benefit.
